Is this an official Portugal salary calculator?
No. It is a planning estimate. Actual Portuguese net pay depends on tax residency, household status, dependents, allowances, withholding tables, and payroll rules.
Why can I edit the IRS rate?
Withholding depends on personal circumstances. A configurable rate keeps the calculator useful without pretending one default fits everyone.
How it works
Gross monthly salary is multiplied by 12 or 14 payments.
Employee social security and IRS withholding are applied to gross salary using the rates you enter.
Meal allowance is estimated across 11 months and added to annual net pay.
